The project has received funding of £2.44M from the e-Science Programme through EPSRC to support 10 PDRAs and 6 PhD students.
A further 4 PhD students plus system administration and secretarial support are being provided by Oxford University.
CCLRC is providing use of the Atlas DataStore - a large data archiving facility - and a Database Server Cluster at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and is committing additional staff time.
Nottingham and Birmingham Universities will each fund an additional PhD student.
IBM is contributing the equivalent of 3 FTEs plus substantial hardware discounts on a Power 4 server and high performance workstations for all project staff.
The 7 partner universities plus CCLRC and IBM are all contributing relevant background results and expertise.
The project has been given extensive access to the national supercomputing resources at HPCx and CSAR.
Good existing links with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries will be further strengthened through a needs analysis study early in the project and two joint workshops in the second half of the project.
